TIPS: Self-Help: Test Alarms
Sometimes the alarm on a back entrance is the only theft prevention you may have while your store is in operation. Regular tests of the alarm will guarantee you are protected from thefts out the back door.
CAUTIONS:
1. The alarms tend to be very loud, so be certain to bring the shut-off key with you when testing the alarm.
2. Make certain to RE-ARM the alarm after testing.
3. If your door alarm is connected to an electronic security system, warn the service that you are testing, and/or have the cancellation code ready when the alarm sounds.
