CUSTOMERS: TIPS: Self-Help: Alarm Batteries

Most panic hardware device manufacturers recommend that you change the battery in the alarm every six months to a year (more often if the alarm is triggered more frequently). The batteries are usually standard 9-volt transistor types.

In most cases, you can open the battery case with everyday tools and replace the batteries yourself, thus saving the cost of a maintenance trip.
